Job summary

Marki Microwave, located in Morgan Hill, CA, seeks an RF Operations Engineer 1 as part of its Engineering Development Program. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on RF/microwave component engineering experience across production support and design verification with structured rotations and mentorship.

You will perform RF measurements up to 125 GHz, operate test equipment, assist first article validation, and learn assembly and measurement practices to grow toward a destination engineering role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; strong preference for electromagnetics, microwave engineering, RF circuits or communications coursework
• 0–2 years of experience with RF products or RF test equipment (internships, co-ops, senior design projects count)
• Foundational understanding of RF/microwave concepts (transmission lines, impedance matching, S-parameters) and basic device physics
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications or willingness to learn
• Hands-on lab work with small components, precision connectors, and sensitive test equipment
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Perform RF measurements from DC to >125 GHz and analyze S-parameters, noise figure, and harmonic content
• Set up, calibrate, and operate RF/test equipment like VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes
• Document procedures and communicate findings to engineering teams in reports and presentations
• Support production test operations, including maintaining test stations and verifying templates and limits
• Assist in root-cause analysis of production test failures and yield excursions under supervision
• Develop familiarity with RF/microwave assembly processes and support new product validation plans
• Complete rotations across production, design validation, applications engineering, and product development
• Meet mentors regularly to review progress and potential destination roles
