Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Microwave Technician to support the Mooresville, NC data division. The role requires repairing and installing microwave radio systems, hands-on OEM experience, and strong electronics troubleshooting. Certification on Wavence or ALU 9500MPR is required or obtainable within 90 days.

The candidate will work with various test equipment, read CAD drawings, and collaborate with customers and team members in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience repairing and installing microwave radio systems.
• Hands-on experience with project-specific OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
• Strong electronics background, troubleshooting skills, and failure analysis capability.
• Knowledge of microwave radio equipment concepts and design characteristics.
• Must be certified on Wavence or ALU 9500MPR Microwave Radios, or able to certify within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, adjust, and calibrate standard test apparatus or devices.
• Analyze and record testing results.
• Use test equipment to conduct functional, environmental, and RF tests.
• Perform RF test measurements including gain transfer, frequency response, noise figure, modulation, and return loss.
• Understand operation of Power Meters, Frequency Counters, and Spectrum/Network Analyzers.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
