Job summary

Spectrum Control in Marlborough, MA is seeking an RF Test Technician to test, troubleshoot, and assemble RF/microwave components up to 40 GHz+ in a high-tech manufacturing setting. You will set up test stations, run manual and automated tests, and ensure production shipping deadlines are met.

Requirements include 5+ years in RF/microwave component or module testing (or 3+ years with associate degree/military electronics training), ability to read schematics, operate lab equipment like VNA,

Qualifications

• Experience working under a microscope with small hand tools.
• 5+ years in RF/microwave component or module testing, or an associate degree / military electronics training with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong grasp of RF measurements (return loss, insertion loss, rejection, gain, noise figure). Read block diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency with test equipment and lab data records.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and mechanically assemble RF components and modules.
• Meet production shipping deadlines to meet site revenue demands.
• Operate lab equipment including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, noise figure meters, and multimeters.
• Set up and calibrate manual and computer-controlled test stations independently.
• Record and maintain test data; review datasheets and test reports per ATPs.
