Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking an Engineering Assistant to support multiple communication and sensing programs in a multidisciplinary team in Lexington, MA. You will help develop prototypes for DoD and government clients, participate in lab testing and field trials, and manage day‑to‑day operations of the Mobile Device Lab.

The role emphasizes willingness to develop new expertise while solving unconventional problems, with opportunities to contribute to prototype hardware in the wireless

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electronic systems.
  • Experience with RF transmitters/receivers and related hardware concepts.
  • Experience installing, deploying, and testing electronics equipment and systems.
  • RF/Microwave lab skills with lab equipment operation.
  • Experience documenting designs and test results and keeping records.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and prototype communication and sensing systems in lab and field environments.
  • Contribute to development, lab testing, and field testing of prototype systems.
  • Assist in day‑to‑day operations of the Mobile Device Lab.
