Job summary
MIT Lincoln Laboratory, in Lexington, MA, seeks an electrical engineer or physicist to design, build, and test advanced RF and electromagnetic systems for national security. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research and development, perform simulations and hardware work, and contribute to field data collection and reporting.
The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, system integration, and rapid problem solving, with opportunities for field exercises and report generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience (minimum 3 years considered).
- Experience in at least two areas: electromagnetic/RF engineering, radar systems, remote sensing, ES/EA/EP applications, physics, systems engineering, space systems.
- Proven ability to work safely in labs, communicate clearly, and solve complex technical problems.
- Analytic/scientific programming proficiency (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test advanced electronic, electromagnetic, and RF systems.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams on advanced research projects for national security.
- Perform computational analysis, hardware development, system integration, data collection and analysis, and documentation.
