Job summary

Amphenol CDI is seeking an Applications Engineer to support Engineering, Marketing, and Sales in delivering technical solutions to customers in the Cerritos region. You will build relationships with design and manufacturing engineers, deliver presentations, proposals, and samples, and help drive sales growth through technical guidance.

The role requires strong communication, an ability to analyze customer needs, and collaboration across teams to provide effective product solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.
• Experience with RF interconnects and/or Filter Connector Products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage customer base in engineering design phase for new product development.
• Performs technical review of customer specifications.
• Makes recommendations for optimal Amphenol-CDI product solutions.
• Assesses cost impact of customer requirements and develops cost estimates.
• Creates customer-facing configuration and specification drawings for proposals.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support existing business and win new opportunities.
• Interprets customer drawings, specifications, and standards for product designs.
• Monitor industry trends to inform product innovations and customer demands.
• Collaborates with Marketing on product pricing to compete in territory.
• Communicates design concerns and manufacturability considerations to sales and customers.
