Job summary

RSCC Wire & Cable LLC is seeking an Applications Engineer to bridge engineering principles with practical customer solutions in RF and data communications. You will collaborate with sales, design customizable products, and provide thorough technical support throughout the customer journey.

The role requires at least a bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years of related experience, with strong communication skills and a proven customer-relations track record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably RF/Coax.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of managing customer relationships and delivering technical solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 80% initially and ~60% after normalization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and technical requirements for RF and data communications.
• Provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales and post-sales activities, including design and accurate cost estimating.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical proposals to customers.
• Customize and configure products to meet customer specifications.
• Conduct product testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions and support to customers.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to advocate for customer needs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance product offerings.
• Assist in developing technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
