Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Engineering Manager, RF Hardware to lead RF electronics teams and ensure high-quality execution across phased arrays and SDR platforms. The role blends hands-on design with team leadership in a fast-growing aerospace startup today.

You will own technical direction, reviews, and architectures, while mentoring engineers and guiding processes from concept to production across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 7+ years of board-level RF hardware engineering experience.
• Deep RF board design expertise with related digital and power electronics.
• DFM/DFT experience and production transition capability.
• Strong cross-disciplinary communication and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for RF electronics development.
• Establish and enforce RF hardware development processes and PCB design standards.
• Lead architecture/design reviews with SME engagement across disciplines.
• Apply knowledge of digital, power, mechanical, and software for system success.
• Contribute directly to board-level RF designs on high-risk programs.
• Lead or support complex RF board debug efforts.
• Ensure designs are buildable/testable at scale with DFM/DFT.
• Handoff to manufacturing with close collaboration across teams.
• Meet aerospace/defense quality, reliability, and scalability standards.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on component availability and costs.
• Promote design reuse and modular architectures across products.
