Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. invites motivated students to join its 2027 Summer/Fall co-op program. You will work with experienced engineers to design RF filters for multi-chip module applications and develop automation scripts to speed workflows.

You will gain hands-on experience with RF front-end module design, learning electromagnetic modeling and using HFSS, Cadence, Keysight ADS and more while exploring future full-time opportunities at Skyworks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related RF/microwave field.
• Available to work onsite full-time (40 hours/week) from June/July through December 2027.
• Strong RF/microwave knowledge including Smith charts, impedance matching, and passive tuning.
• Experience with RF simulation tools such as HFSS, Cadence, ADS, or Microwave Office.
• Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, SKILL, or VBA for data analysis and automation is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design and develop RF filters for multi-chip module applications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve design efficiency.
• Design BAW- and SAW-based duplexers, quadplexers for cellular handset applications.
• Perform electromagnetic modeling and simulation using industry tools.
• Integrate filters, duplexers, and RF switches to support carrier aggregation.
• Create evaluation boards and RF modules to optimize performance.
• Present findings during design reviews.
• Assemble, characterize, de-embed, and evaluate RF filters and modules; document results.
