Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. seeks a Filter Design Engineer Co-op for Summer/Fall 2026. You will gain hands-on experience designing RF filters and duplexers for cellular handset applications while collaborating with seasoned engineers in a fast-paced RF environment.

You will utilize EM modeling tools such as HFSS, ADS, and Momentum, develop automation scripts, and present findings in design reviews. Eligible students must be enrolled in EE and available June/July through December 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related RF/microwave field.
• Available to work onsite full-time (40 hours/week) June/July–December 2027.
• Broad understanding of RF/microwave components and passive tuning techniques.
• Experience with EM modeling and RF simulation tools (HFSS, Cadence, Keysight ADS, MWO).
• Programming experience in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with RF test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design and develop RF filters for multi-chip module applications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve design efficiency.
• Design BAW- and SAW-based duplexers and quadplexers for cellular handset applications.
• Perform EM modeling and simulation of filters using industry tools.
• Integrate multiple filters and RF switches to support carrier aggregation.
• Create evaluation boards or modules to optimize performance.
• Present technical findings during design reviews.
