Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Irvine is seeking a Filter Design Co-Op for Summer/Fall 2027. You will join the Filter Design team as part of the RF group, working on next-generation cellular handsets and wireless devices, focusing on improving the efficiency of acoustic filter design.

This on-site position involves data-driven analysis of BAW/SAW resonators, design automation, and close collaboration with senior engineers to implement improvements in the design tools and workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD or Master's in a relevant field (EE, ME, CS, math, physics).
• Able to work on-site in Irvine for a 6-month period.
• Experience with design, development, and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms.
• Knowledge of statistics and machine learning methods.
• Coursework in theory and applications of circuit design/acoustic filters.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to understand requests from the filter design team.
• Quick learner.
• Interest in cutting-edge technology.
• Well organized.
• Good attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Implement and recommend data-driven solutions to analyze BAW resonators/filters with guidance from senior engineers.
• Design automation and implement to improve filter design efficiency regarding data plots and tooling.
• Bridge requests between the filter design team and IT/modeling team to implement in the design tool/utility/methodology.
