Skyworks Solutions, Inc. invites you to join as a Filter Design Engineer Co-op (Summer/Fall 2027) in Irvine, CA. You will work with highly skilled engineers to design RF filters and front-end modules, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to cutting-edge analog semiconductors powering wireless networks.

You will develop automation scripts, perform electromagnetic modeling, and participate in design reviews, while exploring potential full-time opportunities within Skyworks upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering or related RF/microwave discipline.
• Available to work onsite full-time (40 hours per week) from June/July through December 2027.
• Broad understanding of RF and microwave components, including performance characterization and impedance matching.
• Experience with RF simulation tools and scripting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced engineers to design and develop RF filters for multi-chip module applications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve design efficiency and workflows.
• Design BAW- and SAW-based duplexers, quadplexers, and other RF filter solutions for handset applications.
• Perform electromagnetic modeling and simulation using industry-standard tools (HFSS, Cadence, ADS, Momentum).
• Integrate multiple filters, duplexers, and RF switches to support carrier aggregation and advanced RF front-end solutions.
• Design evaluation boards and RF modules, or portions thereof, to achieve optimal performance.
• Present technical findings during design reviews and communicate results clearly.
