Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Irvine is seeking an Acoustic Filter Design Co-Op for Winter/Spring 2027. You will work as part of an RF professional team developing SAW and BAW filters for wireless front-end modules.

The role focuses on improving design efficiency of acoustic filters, with mentorship from senior engineers, and you will gain hands-on experience with RF design tools. This internship offers exposure to high-performance analog semiconductors and opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

  • Must be a current student majoring in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Irvine for 6 month co-op term.
  • Understanding of RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability.
  • Prior experience in EM simulation of RF systems.
  • Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/Cadence and 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum or HFSS.

Responsibilities

  • Design acoustic wave filters for RF modules, meeting schedules, performance, size and cost goals with senior guidance.
  • Follow engineering practices to ensure reliability, sustainability and high production yield.
  • Collaborate with module and systems teams to define filter performance criteria.
