Job summary

Actalent is seeking a motivated RF Field Technician to support large RF projects and coverage testing for emergency services. This role involves traveling throughout Northern Nevada, operating test equipment, troubleshooting radio systems, and collecting critical performance data in the field.

You will install and configure radios, set up remote networks, and assist with driving and navigation responsibilities.

Qualifications

RF Field Technician

Summary:

Exciting opportunity to support large RF projects and coverage testing for emergency services! Candidates should have experience in RF systems, satcom, or telecom as well as field service or support. This position involves traveling throughout Northern Nevada, operating test equipment, troubleshooting radio systems, and collecting critical performance data. This role provides a great mix of technology and field work.

Job Duties:

• Support RF testing by monitoring system performance, collecting data, and conducting equipment checks.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot radios, RF components, and low-voltage DC systems.
• Set up and troubleshooting of remote networks and systems.
• Support driving and navigating responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience with field service or support in remote areas
• Proficiency with radio systems, satcom, telecom, military communications, RF communication, or RF testing
• Basic electronics knowledge, including voltage, amps, and ohms.
• Basic to advanced computer skills and experience operating electronic test equipment.
• Experience with set up and monitoring of networks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
