Job summary

Nokia is seeking a versatile RF engineer to design, simulate, and test RF circuits for cellular base stations as part of a TRX design team. You will contribute to reliable, high-performance RF solutions and collaborate across design reviews and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in RF/ Microwave tech, experience with RF simulation tools, and excellent communication skills. Occasional international travel and a broad benefits package are available.

Qualifications

BSEE with 3 years or MS with 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
Coursework or job experience in RF or Microwave technology is preferred.
Knowledge of RF circuit design and signal processing techniques.
Good understanding of basic RF engineering principles, including digital modulation/demodulation.
Familiarity with RF performance specifications and test methodology.
Experience with RF simulation tools is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in analytical simulation tools like Matlab and Python.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Technical leadership potential and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to travel internationally occasionally, with less than 10% travel expected.

Responsibilities

Design RF circuits for cellular base stations, including ADC, power supplies, transmitters, receivers, and more.
Simulate and test RF circuits, ensuring they meet performance and reliability specifications.
Document and write technical reports on design processes and outcomes.
Participate in design reviews and technical information exchange sessions.
Support subcontractors and collaborate with other design engineers and specialists.
Stay updated with RF simulation and electromagnetic tools, such as HP ADS, CST, and HFSS.
Utilize analytical simulation tools like Matlab and Python for advanced analysis.
Work in a team environment with a positive attitude, fostering collaboration.
Plan and organize tasks efficiently, ensuring timely project delivery.
