Job summary

Nokia is seeking an RF design engineer to design, simulate, and test RF circuits for cellular base stations within a TRX design team. You will document results and participate in design reviews while staying current with RF tools like HP ADS, CST, and HFSS.

Ideal candidates hold a BSEE or MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics with RF or Microwave coursework/experience, strong MATLAB/Python skills, and excellent communication abilities. Some international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BSEE with 3 years or MS with 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Coursework or job experience in RF or Microwave technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of RF circuit design and signal processing techniques.
• Good understanding of basic RF engineering principles, including digital modulation/demodulation.
• Familiarity with RF performance specifications and test methodology.
• Experience with RF simulation tools is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in analytical simulation tools like Matlab and Python.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Technical leadership potential and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel internationally occasionally, with less than 10% travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits for cellular base stations, including ADC, power supplies, transmitters, receivers, and more.
• Simulate and test RF circuits, ensuring they meet performance and reliability specifications.
• Document and write technical reports on design processes and outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews and technical information exchange sessions.
• Support subcontractors and collaborate with other design engineers and specialists.
• Stay updated with RF simulation and electromagnetic tools, such as HP ADS, CST, and HFSS.
