Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an RF Engineer for Starshield to design and validate RF systems for proliferated communications and remote sensing in low earth orbit. You will collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software teams to drive everything from schematic changes to on-orbit fault resolution.

Required 1+ years in RF engineering with HFSS/CST/ADS, MATLAB, Python/C/C++, and VNA/spectrum analysis. Willingness to work extended hours and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, or electrical engineering
• 1+ years of experience RF engineering with modeling/analysis tools
• Experience with RF test equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzer

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to design and validate RF systems
• Full life cycle support of RF hardware including PCBA testing and on-orbit issue resolution
• Create electromagnetic simulation models of antennas, filters, and PCB layouts to evaluate performance
