Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an RF Engineer (Starshield) to help design and validate RF capabilities for proliferated communications and remote sensing in low Earth orbit.

You will work with RF, DSP, hardware engineers and end users to drive RF system design decisions and develop electromagnetic models, while supporting full life cycle testing and on-orbit issues. A Bachelor's in engineering and 1+ years RF experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering.
• 1+ years of RF engineering experience with modeling/analysis tools and RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
• Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to design RF systems.
• Develop and support RF hardware life cycle, testing, and on-orbit anomaly resolution.
• Create electromagnetic simulation models to evaluate performance.
• Modify schematics and drawings for flight applications.
