Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an RF Software Engineer for Starshield in Hawthorne, CA. You will collaborate with RF, DSP, hardware, FPGA, and software engineers to design and validate RF systems for proliferated communications and remote sensing in low Earth orbit.

The role emphasizes fast prototyping, test automation in Python/C++, and building scalable RF test infrastructure. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in EE and 1+ years in C/C++ or Python, with RF experience and access to US government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 1+ years of professional development in C/C++ or Python.
• 1+ years of experience with radio test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, VSGs, VSAs).
• 1+ years of RF experience with antennas or communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
• Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches for full characterization of RF designs.
• Develop modular RF test infrastructure and test automation in Python and C++.
