Job summary

iTerra Solutions LLC in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, is seeking an RF/EM engineer to own end-to-end signal modeling and measurement from antenna to demodulated symbol. You will build GNU Radio flows, simulate antennas, and validate with VNA measurements on USRP hardware.

The role requires a degree in EE or physics, 1-4 years hands-on RF experience, and willingness to work onsite in challenging environments; compensation includes base salary and equity options.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics; M.S. in RF, electromagnetics, or communications is a plus and counts as experience.
• Roughly one to four years of hands-on work in RF or related fields.
• Proven experience modeling electromagnetic systems and validating with measurements.

Responsibilities

• Model and measure RF antenna, array, receiver chain, or link; compare with design and report discrepancies.
• Develop RF front-end and link budgets; define noise figure, sensitivity, dynamic range, filters, and LNA placement.
• Conduct fabrication and measurement of RF PCB, sheet-metal structures; verify with VNA/S11.
• Create measurement procedures and test benches; ensure reproducibility.
• Perform over-the-air data collection and establish ground truth against government criteria.
• Work onsite in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, and in field environments carrying gear.
• Coordinate with CTO and executive team; translate results into product outcomes.
