Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test operational prototype RF system solutions in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The role requires hands-on experience with lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi technology, antennas, RF test equipment, and RF propagation modeling. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for delivery to customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of RF engineering experience in programs with similar scope.
• Experience with designing lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi tech, antennas, RF propagation, and RF test equipment.
• Experience with selecting, developing, and using analysis tools.
• Planning and executing performance analysis.
• Integrating and testing RF systems.
• Developing RF system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development, integration, and testing of operational prototype RF system solutions.
• Hands-on RF design in bench deployments for lower-power RF systems, PA, antennas, cellular/WiFi tech.
• Test and validate RF systems using suitable RF test equipment and modeling tools.
• Document RF system engineering activities and specifications.
• Collaborate with team and clients to ensure requirements are met.

Description

This candidate be expected to provide design, development, integration, and testing of operational prototype RF system solutions. Additionally, the candidate is expected to provide hands-on experience doing "design-bench-deploy" RF design in lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi technology, antennas, RF test equipment, and RF propagation using modeling and simulation tools.

Required Skills And Education, Including But Not Limited To

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar technical major from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of experience as an RF engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience with designing lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi technology, antennas, RF propagation, and RF test equipment
• Experience with selecting, developing, and using analysis tools
• Planning and executing performance analysis
• Integrating and testing RF systems
• Developing RF system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Requirements Specifications
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem solving and troubleshooting
