Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC is seeking a senior hardware engineer to design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for diverse applications. You will design, document, and develop code for programmable hardware devices, and analyze existing ICs to modify hardware to meet project needs.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, along with problem-solving abilities. TS clearance is required; Annapolis Junction, MD onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of hardware design experience in IC or microelectronic components.
• Experience in PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Experience designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products.
• Experience with ASIC/FPGA place-and-route tools to implement designs.
• Experience developing and maintaining documentation for P&R design flows.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers.

Description:

This candidate will be primarily focused designing and testing new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide variety of applications and research; designing, documenting, and developing code for a variety of programmable hardware devices; analyzing the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components; and conducting the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify/adapt hardware to meet project needs.

Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of hardware design experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree)
• Experience PCB layout and schematic capture
• Experience in designing new products and processes and maintaining existing products
• Applying ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
• Experience with developing and maintaining documentation for P&R design flows
• Experience in providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both written and verbal communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem-solving and troubleshooting
