Job summary

Woodsong Technologies, LLC is seeking an FPGA Engineer to lead architecture, design, and development for embedded systems. The role requires strong RTL experience and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

Location in Annapolis Junction, MD, TS clearance is required. The candidate will work across Linux/Windows platforms and engage with clients to deliver robust FPGA solutions.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics
• Experience with RTL development (VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog)
• Experience with FPGA Design, synthesis, P&R tools (Quartus, ex-Vivaldo)
• Experience developing Verilog/System and Verilog test benches
• Exposure to DSP concepts and Signals & Systems
• Experience working in Linux and/or Windows environment
• Excellent communication skills with team and clients (both verbal and written communications)
• Team-based collaborative abilities
• Resourceful in terms of problem-solving and troubleshooting

Description:

The candidate will be leading FPGA architecture, design, and development efforts to support embedded systems solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics
• Experience with RTL development (VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog)
• Experience with FPGA Design, synthesis, P&R tools (Quartus, ex-Vivaldo)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
• Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) concepts and tools (GNU Radio, Matlab, etc.)
• Experience with C/C++, Bash, Tcl/TK, and GiLab
• Experience with FPGA design using Xilinx's Vivaldo Tool Suite
• Experience using soft/hard IP cores in FPGAs/ASICs (ex Zynq or Microblaze or RISC processors, memories, flash/NVM)
• Exposure to embedded software development
• Exposure to PCB design and development
• Python scripting
