Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA seeks a technically skilled engineer/physicist to lead EM spectrum operations system concepts and multi-disciplinary projects for national security. You will conduct mission design, modeling, hardware development, and field testing.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with strong EM/RF, radar, or remote sensing expertise; leadership ability; and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
• MS with 5 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of PhD.
• Experience in EM/RF, radar, remote sensing, ES/EA/EP applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for interdisciplinary work.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Mission performance design, modeling, and simulation.
• System engineering and prototype design for new technology.
• Hardware development, RF/microwave, or electronic subsystems.
• Integration, testing, measurement, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Laboratory validation and field testing of sensors and systems.
• Developing novel sensor technologies and applications.
• Program leadership including sponsor engagement and management.
