Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Newark, CA is seeking an Electronics Technician (RF) to perform RF testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and validation of HPA/HPM systems. You will work with engineers, quality, and manufacturing to maintain schedules and improve reliability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on RF expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. This role offers day shifts and opportunities in aerospace/defense environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or 3–5 years of relevant test experience.
• Hands-on experience with RF, microwave, HPA, HPM, TWT, SSPA, satellite comms, or similar high‑power systems.
• Proficient with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, RF meters, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Perform RF alignment, tuning, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing.
• Verify TWT and SSPA functionality and overall RF system performance.
• Measure RF parameters (gain, output power, efficiency, spectral regrowth, harmonics, frequency response).
• Generate RF plots, test reports, and problem reports documenting failures and corrective actions.
• Follow engineering procedures, test processes, and quality requirements.
• Support ESS, environmental chamber testing, and burn‑in activities.
• Troubleshoot production and customer returns (RMA) and support root cause investigations.
