Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an Electronics Technician (Power Supply) in Newark, CA to perform testing, debugging, and validation of HPA/HPM power supply systems. You will verify grounding and RF readiness, and assist with TWT/SSPA compatibility tests.

The role requires hands-on experience with high-power electronics, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with Engineers, Quality, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field with 3–5 years of test/troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on experience with power supplies, HPA/HPM, TWT, SSPA, satellite comms, or similar high-power systems.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, programmable power supplies, and related instrumentation.
• Ability to read schematics and test procedures; strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench testing, screening, and troubleshooting of HPA/HPM power supply systems and modules.
• Verify grounding, electrical integrity, functionality, and readiness for RF testing.
• Screen and qualify systems for TWT and SSPA compatibility.
• Generate problem reports, document failures, and corrective actions.
• Follow engineering processes, test procedures, and quality requirements.
• Support ESS and environmental chamber testing and burn-in activities.
