Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Electronics Technician (RF) in Newark, CA to perform RF testing, tuning, and validation of HPA/HPM systems. You will verify TWT and SSPA function and generate RF plots and reports.

The role requires an associate degree or 3–5 years of related experience, hands-on RF equipment proficiency, and the ability to work across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or 3–5 years of test experience.
• Hands-on RF/microwave system experience including HPA/HPM, TWT, SSPA.
• Proficient with RF test gear and data recording.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF alignment, testing, tuning, and acceptance testing of RF systems.
• Validate TWT and SSPA functionality and overall RF performance.
• Measure RF parameters: gain, output power, efficiency, harmonics, frequency response.
• Generate RF plots, test reports, and actionable corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot production units and support root-cause investigations.
• Follow procedures, manufacturing instructions, and quality requirements.
• Support environmental tests and safety practices.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.
