Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer with specialization in Signal Processing to support advanced RF, communications, and electronic warfare systems within the AMS portfolio.

The role blends RF hardware/system design with DSP, developing, modeling, and optimizing RF signal chains in both lab and field settings. The ideal candidate brings strong theoretical grounding in signal processing with practical RF experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering or Physics with 5+ years experience.
• Strong DSP and RF system fundamentals.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for modeling.
• Knowledge of RF signal processing techniques.
• Ability to interpret real-world RF data and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze RF/microwave systems with DSP.
• Model RF channels and system performance.
• Develop DSP algorithms: filtering, modulation, waveform processing.
• Support integration of RF hardware with DSP/software.
• Collaborate on test planning, execution, results analysis.
• Interface with test engineers to refine measurements.
• Work with RF hardware, antenna, and software teams.
