Job summary

Battelle's Advanced Microsystems Solutions (AMS) organization is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of next-generation Radio Frequency (RF) and Spectrum Operations solutions.

This role focuses on designing and developing software applications, signal processing algorithms, and mission systems enabling customers to sense, analyze, exploit, and operate within contested electromagnetic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience developing software for complex technical systems.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: C++, Python, Java, Rust.
• Experience developing software in Linux environments.
• Understanding of RF communications systems, Digital signal processing, Wireless networking, Electromagnetic spectrum concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting advanced RF, communications, and spectrum operations systems.
• Develop scalable software architectures for real-time signal processing and mission applications.
• Design and implement APIs, services, and data-processing pipelines that support sensor integration and spectrum exploitation workflows.
• Develop software utilizing modern software engineering practices, DevSecOps methodologies, and Agile development frameworks.
