Job summary

Overview

Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting‑edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. PSI is currently seeking a RF Datalink Technician to work in a collaborative and innovative environment to support Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. This is an amazing opportunity to directly support global Command and Control Mission Support program.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
  • Candidate willbe responsible forthe setup and operation of Radios and Tactical Data Link (Link 16) systems to include (PRC-117G, PRC-150, PRC-160, PRC-152, SADL, Small Tactical Terminal, and MIDS). Assist Engineering teams with testing across Avionics / Data Linksutilizingsimple tohighly complexand automated test equipment.
  • Activities include the handling and manipulation of extremely high value hardware, installation of setup of specialized instrumentation, and various maintenance activitiesrequiredto support general laboratory operation through written hand-off instructions and released test procedures.
  • This position may require occasional off-shift, and overtime work.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office), familiarization with TCP/IP protocol and the ability to learn how to program various radios and computer systems.
  • Will need to perform basic electronicprinciplestroubleshooting todetermineproblems in hardware or equipment.
  • May work with complex machines or computer systems. Dismantles,adjusts, repairs, aligns,assemblesandoperatesequipment according to preliminary designs,operatingor repair manuals.
  • Usestest and diagnostic equipment to perform system checks and preventative maintenance. Related mechanical skills such as electrical/power systems installation/maintenance, or militaryaircraft, and Air Force Special Operations experience areconsidered aspositive.
Minimum Requirements
  • Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification within 3 months of hire.
