Job summary

Microwave Products Group (MPG) is seeking a CAD designer to create RF product designs and PCB layouts in a fast-paced environment in Maryland. You will prepare drawings, perform analyses, and input bills of material into our ERP system, collaborating with customers and suppliers as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor experience, knowledge of GD&T, and a 2-year technical drafting credential.

Qualifications

• Drafting techniques and engineering terminology.
• Basic to statistical mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Inventor 3D modeling.
• PCB layout software such as Diptrace or equivalent.
• GD&T understanding per ASME Y14.5M.
• Knowledge of machine screws per ASME B18.6.3.
• 2-year technical school certification in drafting and math.
• Associate degree in mechanical CAD or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create new and revised RF product designs in CAD.
• Produce PCB schematics and layouts.
• Prepare layouts for final product design from data.
• Input bill of materials into ERP.
• Consult with customers/vendors to resolve design issues.
