Job summary

MPG delivers RF spectrum-centric solutions for mission-critical communications and space programs. The role focuses on creating RF product designs using CAD, producing PCB schematics and layouts, and updating BOMs in ERP systems.

The candidate will refine drawings, perform layout tasks, and collaborate with customers and vendors to ensure designs meet all requirements. Onsite work in Salisbury, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Solid drafting techniques and engineering terminology knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic to statistical mathematical calculations.
• Familiarity with 2D AutoCAD and Inventor 3D modeling; other 3D tools helpful.
• Knowledge of PCB layout software (Diptrace or equivalent).
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5M and machine screws per ASME B18.6.3.
• 2-year technical school certification in drafting and math; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Creates new and revised RF product design using CAD (Computer Aided Design) equipment into assemblies, piece part drawings, assembly drawings, outline drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and bill of material. Details include all views and dimensions necessary for machine parts and assembly documentation. Creates PCB schematics and layouts. Prepares routine to complex layouts for final product design using customer and engineer-supplied data. Assists in analysis of problem areas and recommends solutions. Inputs bill of material in ERP system. May consult with customers and/or outside vendors as needed to discuss design problem areas and to ensure product meets all requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic to statistical mathematical calculations. Should possess knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Inventor 3D modeling. Other 3D modeling software is helpful. Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. Knowledge of PCB layout software, Diptrace or equivalent. General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5M. General knowledge of machine screws per ASME B18.6.3. Minimum of 2-year technical school certification in drafting and math. Associate degree in mechanical Computer Aided Design or directly related job experience preferred.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan
