Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners seeks an RF Analog Design Engineer in Austin, TX to develop rugged RF and mixed-signal front-ends for defense/aerospace embedded computing platforms. You’ll work with FPGA, PCB, and software teams to craft high-performance RF paths and clock/power architectures.

You will guide designs from concept to production, tackling signal integrity challenges and collaborating on board level implementation with a focus on 18 GHz+ RF circuits and high-speed digital interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise designing complete RF and mixed-signal signal chains for defense/aerospace applications.
• Experience taking RF hardware from system architecture through production.
• Strong RF theory, filtering, impedance matching, signal integrity, noise mitigation, shielding.
• Experience selecting high-speed ADCs/DACs from TI, Analog Devices or similar.
• RF circuits up to 18 GHz and interfaces to FPGA-based processing.
• Clock generation, distribution, and low-noise power architectures.
• Hands-on lab experience with RF test equipment and collaboration with PCB layout engineers.
• Strong debugging and issue-resolution across analog and mixed-signal domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF analog front-end architectures for high-performance embedded computing products for defense/aerospace.
• Design RF signal paths, low-noise circuitry, clocks, and power with cross-functional teams.
• Own product lifecycle from concept through validation and production.
• Solve signal integrity problems and influence architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with PCB, FPGA, and software teams to optimize layout and performance.
