Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an RF Analog Design Engineer to develop RF front-end architectures for rugged embedded computing used in defense and aerospace applications.

You will design RF signal paths, low-noise analog circuitry, clocking and power architectures, and collaborate with FPGA, PCB, software, and systems teams to drive the complete product lifecycle from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive experience designing RF and mixed-signal signal chains, including RF front ends, analog filtering, ADC/DAC interfaces, clocking and low-noise power architectures.
• Experience taking RF hardware from architecture to schematic capture, PCB, debug, validation, and production.
• Strong RF design theory knowledge: filters, impedance matching, signal integrity, noise, shielding, grounding, and high-speed PCB implementation.
• Experience selecting and integrating high-speed ADCs/DACs from TI, Analog Devices, or similar.
• RF circuits operating up to 18 GHz and above; familiarity with RFSoC architectures and interfaces.
• Ability to collaborate with PCB layout, FPGA, embedded software, and systems teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF front-end architectures for high-performance embedded computing products used in defense/aerospace.
• Design RF signal paths, low-noise analog circuitry, clocking systems, and power architectures.
• Collaborate closely with FPGA, PCB layout, embedded software, and systems engineering teams.
• Lead product lifecycle from concept and simulation through hardware validation to production.
