Job summary

ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging, is hiring a Rewind Assistant in the Rewind Department. You will help with machine setup, supply materials, monitor operations, and assist with routine maintenance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic mechanical and math skills, and strong attention to detail with a team-focused attitude. We offer a clean, climate-controlled environment with a 2-2-3 shift rotation, weekend overtime pay, paid time off, benefits, and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience with rewinding equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup.
• Supply raw materials for the rewinder.
• Monitor rewinder machine operations.
• Assist with routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and perform small repairs under supervision.
• Fill in or run the machine during shift changes as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Complete production logs or reports.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members.
• Operate forklift or clamp trucks to transport products.

Your Role: Rewind Assistant - Rewind Department

• Assists with machine setup.
• Supplies raw material or components specific to the rewinder machine as needed.
• Monitors rewinder machine operations.
• Assists with routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes.
• Effectively works with other departments or team members.
• Uses forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment a plus
• Basic mechanical and math skills
