Job summary

ProAmpac in Wisconsin is seeking a Rewind Operator to join our climate-controlled facility on a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour schedule. You will read specifications, schedule preparation, perform machine maintenance, and coordinate with your crew to ensure product quality.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and basic mechanical and math skills. Prior rewinding experience is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with employees from own departments to foster a team environment.
• Makes process decisions and ensures product quality per audit specs.
• Reads specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Performs routine machine maintenance and inspections.
• May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper for shipping.
• Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
• Ensures smooth shift handoffs and clear communication with next crew.

• Machine maintenance.
• May occasionally use forklift/roll clamp to transport product.
• Palletizes rolls and wraps on stretch wrapper to prepare for shipping.
• Ties bales on trim balers and broke balers.
• Sets up core cutter and cuts cores.
• Sets next crew up for success and effectively and efficiently communicates at shift change to Operators and Supervisors.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment a plus
• Basic mechanical and math skills
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude
