Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Rewind Assistant in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This role supports machine setup, supplies materials for rewinder operations, and monitors equipment performance on a 2-2-3 rotating shift.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meticulous recordkeeping to ensure smooth production flows. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues, and occasionally running the machine during shift changes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience with rewinding equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assists with machine setup.
• Supplies raw material or components for the rewinder machine as needed.
• Monitors rewinder machine operations.
• Assists with routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoots minor issues and performs minor repairs or adjustments under supervision.
• Fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent injuries.
• Complete production logs or reports for documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members.
• Operate forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.

Your Role: Rewind Assistant - Rewind Department

• Assists with machine setup.
• Supplies raw material or components specific to the rewinder machine as needed.
• Monitors rewinder machine operations.
• Assists with routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes.
• Effectively works with other departments or team members.
• Uses forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.
