Job summary

Mercer in Seattle seeks a Rewards Senior Associate to join its Career Consulting team, focusing on benchmarking pay, incentive structures, and developing client-facing deliverables. Hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office weekly, and mentoring Analysts and Associates on projects.

You will manage client projects, lead meetings, and provide coaching and technical review, while ensuring budgets and timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in rewards/compensation or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in broad-based rewards/compensation.
• Experience consulting with external clients on behalf of a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of compensation principles including job benchmarking, salary structure design, and job architecture.
• Strong quantitative background and data analysis/reporting experience.
• Proven project management skills and ability to solve problems creatively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project charts and templates, estimate hours, and outline project milestones.
• Serve as independent project manager for projects or work streams.
• Develop compensation strategies that address client attraction and retention needs.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and manage out-of-scope issues and client expectations.
• Lead and delegate project tasks based on capabilities and available resources.
• Lead client meetings and serve as primary client contact to build relationships.
