Job summary

Insight Global in Austin, TX is seeking a mechanical BIM specialist to develop and maintain 3D Revit models for piping, ductwork, and equipment systems. You will convert engineering concepts and P&IDs into detailed construction drawings and support layout development and installation drawings.

The role involves participating in Revit coordination efforts, reading engineering drawings, and contributing to BIM workflows on large commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering consulting or similar environment.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit for mechanical system modeling and design.
• Familiarity with mechanical piping and ductwork systems.
• Experience creating and modifying construction documents, layouts, and design drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
• Understanding of mechanical building systems and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D Revit models for mechanical piping, ductwork, and equipment systems.
• Convert engineering concepts and P&IDs into detailed construction drawings.
• Support project teams with layout development and installation drawings.
• Participate in Revit coordination efforts and BIM workflows.
• Create installation drawings and contribute to project documentation.
