Job summary

Hyperice is seeking an organized Operations Analyst – Reverse Logistics to support and manage reverse logistics operations across the United States and Canada. The role is hybrid and based in Irvine, CA, requiring on-site presence at the 3PL facility several times per week.

You will work closely with 3PL partners, suppliers, accounting, and internal teams to ensure returns are processed accurately and on time.

Job description

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Analyst – Reverse Logistics to support and help manage our reverse logistics operations across the United States and Canada.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in an environment where things are always moving and never truly “done.” You will work closely with 3PL partners, suppliers, accounting, internal operations teams, and ERP systems to ensure returns are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This position is hybrid and based in Irvine, California, with an expectation that the individual will be on site at our 3PL facility multiple times per week or month.

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally keeps track of details, follows up on open items, manages multiple priorities, and is comfortable building processes while simultaneously managing day-to-day operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

Reverse Logistics & Returns Operations

• Support the day-to-day management of reverse logistics and product returns across the US and Canada.
• Coordinate with 3PL partners to ensure returns are received, processed, inspected, and dispositioned according to established procedures.
• Visit the 3PL facility multiple times per month to review operations, resolve issues, validate processes, and improve execution.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve return-related issues and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Develop, document, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reverse logistics activities.
• Monitor return workflows and identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate tracking of open returns, outstanding actions, escalations, and follow-ups.
• Work with lot- and serial-tracked products, ensuring accurate product identification and traceability throughout the returns process.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical inventory, 3PL records, and ERP system data.
• Conduct onsite reviews and audits as needed to ensure inventory and return transactions are accurate.
• Ensure returned products are properly documented and processed according to company requirements.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy when working with product, inventory, lot, serial, and transaction data.

ERP Activities

• Support the returns process from an operational and financial perspective.
• Prepare and process credit memo requests and coordinate with Sales& Accounting to ensure appropriate financial resolution.
• Work within the company’s ERP system to research transactions, update records, track returns, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with data analysis and reporting related to returns, inventory, credits, and logistics performance.
• Serve as a day-to-day operational contact for 3PL partners and suppliers.
• Communicate operational requirements, open issues, and performance expectations.
• Help establish and maintain processes and service requirements with external partners.
• Follow up on outstanding actions and ensure partners deliver against agreed timelines and SOPs.
• Escalate issues when appropriate and help drive them through to resolution.
• Build strong working relationships with 3PL teams through regular communication and onsite engagement.
• Look beyond simply completing today’s tasks and identify ways to make the operation better, faster, and more reliable.
• Identify recurring problems and help develop sustainable solutions.
• Improve SOPs, workflows, reporting, and communication processes.
• Support projects that improve the customer returns experience, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost.
• Help establish and monitor KPIs related to reverse logistics and returns performance.
