Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Reverse Logistics Analyst to optimize end-to-end reverse logistics across retail, eCommerce, and vendor networks. You will develop reporting, analyze returns trends, and support data-driven decisions to improve recovery value and customer experience.

The role partners with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Operations to drive improvements and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related field preferred.
• 2+ years in reverse logistics, supply chain ops, or analytical roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily reverse logistics operations to maintain KPI performance and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytics on returns performance and financial impact.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Ops, DCs, Transportation, and Finance to drive continuous improvements.
• Analyze returns trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce costs and improve customer experience.
• Review and reconcile invoices, vendor deductions, and financial transactions in reverse logistics.
• Prepare and present operational metrics and recommendations to leadership; support value recovery strategies.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Reverse Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing the end-to-end reverse logistics process across retail, eCommerce, distribution, and vendor networks. This role partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, and Finance to improve return operations, reduce costs, enhance reporting accuracy, and maximize recovery value on returned merchandise.

This position develops reporting and analytics, identifies root causes impacting returns performance, and supports operational decision-making through data-driven insights. The role helps ensure reverse logistics processes align with company objectives and operational standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support daily reverse logistics operations to ensure KPI performance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytics related to returns performance, financial impact, recovery value, vendor compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Distribution Centers, Transportation, and Finance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives within reverse logistics operations.
• Analyze returns trends and operational data to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation of solutions that reduce supply chain costs and improve customer experience.
• Review, validate, and reconcile invoices, vendor deductions, and financial transactions associated with reverse logistics operations.
• Prepare and present operational performance metrics, financial results, and recommendations to leadership in a clear and meaningful manner.
• Collaborate with business partners to develop strategies that maximize value recovery and disposition outcomes for returned products.
• Monitor compliance with operational procedures, service expectations, and company policies related to reverse logistics processes.
• Support projects focused on process optimization, system enhancements, automation opportunities, and scalability within reverse logistics operations.
• Use data and analytics to provide insights that support business objectives and operational improvements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics, Operations, or related field preferred.
• Years of experience: 2+ years of experience in reverse logistics, supply chain operations, transportation, distribution, finance, or related analytical roles preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics platforms preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience with retail, omnichannel, distribution, or returns operations preferred.
