Job summary

Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (Revenue Division) seeks a Revenue Supervisor/Expert to lead the unit’s operations, staff, and performance outcomes. The role combines tax or child support program expertise with strong supervisory skills to ensure compliant processing and excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will supervise staff, resolve escalated issues, and monitor performance metrics while serving as a subject matter expert on Arkansas tax codes, policies, and DFA

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and oversee unit operations within the DFA Revenue Division.
• Monitor performance metrics and resolve escalated issues to ensure compliance and timely processing.
• Serve as subject matter expert on relevant tax codes, policies, and DFA procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Social Work, or related field

High school diploma + 4 years experience including 2 in supervisory or leadership

Job description

The Revenue Supervisor/Expert is a leadership role within the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration's Revenue Division, responsible for managing operations, staff, and performance outcomes of a specific tax or child support unit. This position combines technical expertise in tax or child support programs with supervisory responsibilities to ensure compliance, customer service, and effective processing activities. The role involves supervising staff, resolving escalated issues, monitoring performance metrics, and serving as a subject matter expert on relevant tax codes, policies, and regulations.

Key qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, social work, or related field plus 3 years of related experience including 2 years in
• OR high school diploma plus 4 years of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support including 2 years in supervisory or leadership
• In-depth knowledge of Arkansas tax codes, policies, child support law and regulations, or DFA procedures
• Skilled at analyzing complex tax or child support issues, interpreting regulations, and making sound decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and integrity in handling financial data and confidential information
