Job summary

The Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) in Arkansas is seeking a Revenue Manager to oversee a unit within the Revenue Division. You will ensure compliance with state tax and child support laws while directing staff and resources to deliver accurate revenue administration services.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree plus four years in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• High school diploma plus five years of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, tax preparation, cash handling, data entry, or administrative support including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of a revenue unit or program area, ensuring compliance with state laws and departmental policies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal processes to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and customer service.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, including Revenue Supervisors, Coordinators, and Specialists.
• Oversee the collection, reconciliation, and reporting of revenues and fees processed through the unit.
• Analyze complex financial data and program performance metrics to support decision-making and resource allocation.
• Resolve high-level taxpayer and customer issues, audit findings, or procedural discrepancies involving multiple stakeholders.
• Participate in the development of new policies, legislation, or administrative rules related to taxation, revenue collection, or child support services.
• Ensure confidentiality, transparency, and ethical handling of public funds and records.

Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, or social work
