Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Revenue Management Analyst to support the revenue cycle by monitoring backlog, unbilled time, missing time, unassigned time and unapplied funds. You will partner with the Revenue Management Manager and Associate Manager to gather data and drive timely actions to mitigate risk.

The role emphasizes rigorous data analysis, reporting, and process improvements, with a focus on leveraging AI and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with financial and/or operational analysis.
• Experience with financial and/or operational data analysis.
• Experience in defining processes, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering process improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products.
• Previous experience working in a law firm or other professional services firm (Preferred).
• Experience with Elite 3E (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and report on backlog and key revenue metrics for assigned Global Practice Groups.
• Apply professional skepticism and sound judgment to identify risks and action items.
• Develop and maintain reports on backlog status to inform business decisions.
• Provide actionable insights to firm management to optimize revenue and reduce leakage.
• Conduct root cause analyses of time adjustments and identify process improvements.
• Leverage credit risk scoring tools and data to assess collectability of backlog.
• Review Unassigned Time and Missing Time balances to ensure recoverability.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and technology to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service to attorneys, clients and firm personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
