Job summary

The University of Southern California seeks a Senior Revenue Integrity (RI) Specialist to lead the daily CDM maintenance workflow across Keck Medical Center entities and ensure alignment with policy and coding standards.

You will coordinate with administration, IS, Compliance, and clinical Informatics, prepare ad-hoc reports, guide staff on CDM maintenance, and drive charge capture improvements while supporting audits and regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance, healthcare administration, nursing, or equivalent.
• Certification in coding or auditing (CPC/CCS/COC or CPMA) within one year of hire.
• At least 5 years of healthcare experience.
• Experience with inpatient/outpatient billing (UB-04) and CMS reimbursement.
• Knowledge of government and third-party payer reimbursement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and self-motivated planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Keck CDM and ensure annual Medicare/third-party updates.
• Lead CDM maintenance, charge capture, and compliance discussions.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle, IT, Compliance, and clinical teams on projects.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and data extracts for issue resolution.
• Provide education on CDM standards to staff and departments.
• Support audits and reconciliation of charge capture processes.
