LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Revenue Integrity Specialist to lead audits of clinical departments, ensure accurate coding, documentation, and CMS compliance, and partner with coding and finance teams to optimize revenue capture.

The role requires 5+ years in revenue integrity or related field, strong CDM/charge capture knowledge, and Epic expertise to manage work queues and drive improvements in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Formación

• Minimum 5+ years in revenue integrity, revenue cycle management, healthcare finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of chargemaster (CDM) management, including charge capture, coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10), and CMS/ payer requirements.
• 3+ years of Epic experience, especially managing work queues and charge capture functions.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees audits of clinical departments, guiding Revenue Integrity team members.
• Review findings with leadership, focusing on documentation standards and improvement recommendations.
• Identify target populations for audits and rotate areas for in-depth reviews.
• Review medical records to ensure coding accuracy, billing compliance, and medical necessity.
• Analyze charge capture reports to verify charges are posted correctly per codes and routed to the right cost center.
• Identify charge trends and present findings with recommendations.
• Respond to charge audits with next-step improvements.
• Conduct ancillary service quality reviews and meet with leadership to improve capture accuracy.
• Provide feedback to providers on missing or unclear documentation and suggest solutions.
• Offer guidance on charge capture, coding, documentation, and regulatory compliance as requested.
• Conduct training and orientation for staff to address audit findings and regulatory updates.
