Job summary
Mercyhealth is seeking an experienced Revenue Integrity professional to partner with clinical leaders and ensure accurate charge capture, coding and billing across service lines. The role analyzes charging processes, monitors EPIC Revenue Integrity dashboards, and supports payer/regulatory compliance while educating clinical teams.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, healthcare revenue cycle knowledge, and experience leading moderately complex revenue integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 3+ years of experience within the revenue cycle.
- Experience in hospital setting or healthcare coding with focus on charge integrity/revenue.
- RN license in state of practice and CPR/BLS within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with clinical department directors to monitor charge capture across entities.
- Evaluates charging and coding structures to ensure proper capture and government payer compliance.
- Performs focused charge reviews to ensure charges are generated per policy and timeframes.
- Advises service line leaders on charge codes and opportunities to capture revenue per payer guidelines.
- Trains clinical teams on revenue integrity functions and changes in billing rules.
