Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Revenue Integrity Analyst to improve charge capture accuracy through coding audits, education, and process improvements. The role collaborates with leadership across revenue cycle, IT and finance to enhance documentation and reimbursement while ensuring denial prevention.

The position supports education on documentation, EPIC system revisions, and collaboration with multiple departments to optimize charges.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of coding experience with auditing background.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPC or CCS and CPMA or CEMA credentials required.
• Experience with revenue integrity, charge capture, denial prevention, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze chart audits and educate Physicians, APPs and other billable providers based on audit results and policies.
• Perform audits for internal reviews, program and payment integrity reviews, payor programs; facilitate the process from request receipt to completion.
• Research and communicate regulatory requirements and payor policies impacting charging and reimbursement.
• Identify education and improvement opportunities using data on revenue, RVUs, denials, CPTs by specialty, and documentation lag days.
• Train departments on charge reconciliation and monitor adherence to policies.
• Monitor open encounters to ensure chart closure within guidelines.
• Educate on annual coding updates and roll out EPIC revisions with leadership guidance.
• Ensure codes dropped are correct for services rendered.
• Support leaders on charge capture, documentation, and reimbursement initiatives.
• Collaborate with MILs, CDI, CDS, HIM, Charge Mgmt and vendors for coding alignment.
