Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Charge Integrity Analyst to maintain the hospital and professional charge master, ensure compliance, and support data-driven improvements across the Revenue Cycle.

The role requires strong analytical skills, expert Excel use, and experience with Epic MiChart. The analyst will monitor charge capture workflows, assist in MiChart upgrades, and collaborate with clinical departments to ensure accurate charge generation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in healthcare/business administration or Health Information Management.
• Experience with reimbursement, billing, medical coding and compliance in a large medical setting.
• Experience as a Certified Coder, Charge Master Administrator, Revenue Integrity Specialist, Epic Analyst, Senior Biller, or similar.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to research root cause, recommend solutions and support improvements.
• Extensive experience with Electronic Health Records, clinical and billing workflows (Epic/ MiChart/Cerner).
• Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially Excel.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; great attendance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Charge Master aligns with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and review Charge Master data in Fi nThrive and Epic EAP.
• Set hospital rates using pricing algorithms and benchmarking tools.
• Collaborate with MiChart CORE and other teams to maintain files and databases.
• Support charge capture tools and departmental workflows.
• Develop charging workflows and reconciliation processes for new departments.
• Provide data reports and SBAR presentations for Revenue Cycle initiatives.
• Assist in preparing for MiChart upgrades and new module implementations.
• Monitor work queues, identify root causes, and propose efficiency improvements.
• Serve as liaison between Billing and Clinical Departments to resolve issues.
