Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Charge Integrity Analyst to maintain the hospital and professional charge master, ensure accurate billing practices, and support system upgrades. You will work with Revenue Cycle teams to optimize charge capture, analyze data, and propose improvements.

Strong Excel, EHR knowledge, and regulatory familiarity are essential. The role requires collaboration across departments, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, health information, or related field.
• Experience with reimbursement, billing, and compliance in a large medical setting.
• Experience as a coder, charge master admin, or revenue integrity role.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to research root causes and propose improvements.
• Extensive EHR experience (Epic/Cerner) and MS Excel expertise.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Charge Master and fee schedules per policies and regulations.
• Audit and manage data in FinThrive and Epic EAP master files.
• Set hospital rates using pricing algorithms and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with MiChart CORE and other teams to maintain files.
• Support charge capture tools and related departmental workflows.
• Develop and test rules for charge error tracking and reconciliation.
• Create reports and SBARs; support system upgrades and go-lives.
